Digital social media promotion for a legendary New York dance music event

New York’s legendary underground soul and funk night, Soul In The Horn, has been running for ten years under headline DJ Natasha Diggs and founder/curator D Prosper. For their second trip to London, I was asked to repurpose Koko’s static flyer artwork, bringing it to life in all its psychedelic glory as 15-second animations. Versions were produced in square, story, and 4:5 formats, for variable social media viewing options.

The initial announcement animations were then supplemented with panels featuring each of the main DJs on the lineup, plus veteran British soul performer Omar with his band. These were all produced as both animated and static versions, and in both square and vertical story formats. The event fully sold out and was a huge success both creatively and commercially. A very satisfying collaboration with a hugely creative bunch who also happened to be a delight to work with.

One of a series of subsequent projects with Soul In The Horn has been ongoing promotion for their Brooklyn events on what is home turf for them. The Autumn series consisted of three events, culminating in December and featuring house music superstar Barbara Tucker among others.
